Homemade & Delicious!

This afternoon I went to Penn’s Grill at 128 E Commerce St in downtown Whiteville because I got notified by their lunch specials group on Facebook they had a home made chicken salad sandwich on special today. Helen makes the best homemade food around but, there’s are two other Helen’s she has to compete with; my mother and grandmother! Now, between the latter 2 my grandmother made the best chicken salad and my mother made the best tuna salad. Basically this was gonna be tough one.

I got there and ordered and took a bite and holy crap it was delicious! I ate slowly so I could make an honest comparison and I’m embarrassed with the conclusion. My grandmother has always been number one to me, hell, she raised me. I’m sorry grandma, I love you and you are always looking down on me from heaven but, I found another Helen who beat your chicken salad. Helen Holden is the winner on this one!

Guys, if you’ve never tried Penn’s Grill, you have to go there and try it! Tell them Wes from the Wake Up Crew sent ya!
